Firmware Designer

The Firmware Design Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Firmware code development within a video systems environment. The individual will perform activities including requirements definition, firmware design, testing and debug, document creation and at the most senior level, may provide architecture input, mentoring and team leadership. Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the firmware design and development of new "System-in-SFP" products as well as support of existing products
  • Concept development, writing product specifications, test plans and C/C++ coding
  • Responsible for design, code, testing
  • Support the hardware team during environmental testing and entry into production

Required Skills:

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer science

Electronic Technician
R&D and production support

Role:

The technician will share his time between the product development team and the production team. He will have to work in the laboratory to carry out the tests and qualifications of the products under development as well as to find and fix the problems on the defective products, those that leave the production floor and those returned by the customers. He / she will also be involved in the writing of test procedures and test reports.
This position is part of the NPI team, support and QA. Therefore, the technician will work with and relate to this group but will also work closely with the R&D and production team.

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Validate and qualify new products
  • Document the tests carried out
  • Validate and qualify engineering changes to existing products (ECO)
  • Draft work instructions for the application of ECOs
  • Execute tests on returned products
  • Debug products which failed production tests

Qualifications and Experience:
