Montreal, August 7, 2018 –Embrionix announced today it is now shipping its miniaturized emSFP SMPTE ST2110 IP-to-SDI gateways with clean and quiet switching. The company will demonstrate these software-defined emSFPs at IBC 2018, Hall 8, Stand B.37. For broadcasters transitioning to IP, the new patent-pending technology provides smooth switching of any IP signal between sources for a stable viewing experience.

Embrionix emSFP-gateways are based on a small form factor (SFP+/ SFP28) that can be installed directly inside a standard 10GE or 25GE IP switch ̶ or within the Embrionix 25GE emMODULAR aggregation frame ̶ drastically simplifying the gradual integration of IP and SDI equipment.
